It seems that AUO---An Unringed Osprey (who might be PU)---has successfully formed an alliance with EJ. He and EJ were seen several times defending the nest from an unseen intruder, though it was clear to me that EJ was still holding the mortgage on the property. He brought a stick to the nest, and EJ has been observed taking a refreshed interest in the nest as well. While not on the nest, the camera found EJ on the camera tree perch and got close up to our collective delight, even in the rain! (Limpy's capture) More excitement in this space tomorrow!

I think that EJ just flew off the nest.
EJ chirping - I can't tell if she's alone or not - or quite where she is.
Yikes I just wrote out my post, then I got the message IE has stopped working, and lost it all. Will write it again, but in the meantime EJ is on the nest, I can hear her. She made a few pips, then silent, then a rustle.

CC - I had hoped to catch you before you head to bed. Thanks for the post yesterday about Carnyx, thankfully the You Tube screen is working this morning so I have sound and action too :-) Sadly the top screen has just a constant burling wheel.
Birdie - thank you for the post re VLC I will copy it for later, I haven't downloaded it on to the PC, as I have it on the Ipad, and when I put the webcam link into it nothing happens. I may try it again in a few days.

Wow, you set me a test, I couldn't see her and my editor has great trouble with this cam facing in this direction - it's not too bad on the nest side view, depending how close up.
Definitely Golden Girl at that stage of the morning ;)
