Happy New Week all. Check back for the last of last week's posts.
Thank you - coming onto this site I am trying to do normal things - back up to London tomorrow so may not be on for a bit.
Harelady: So very sorry you're having to deal with what must be the worst kind of anxiety. Do know that everyone on this thread is sending prayers, best thoughts, strength - whichever each of us leans to - for a good outcome for your daughter. Let us know how you and your daughter are doing. Do you have other family members or friends to help/support you?
Huge hugs to you,
Thank you Annette. Yes I do have a son and another Daughter - they have both produced Grandchildren for me in the last few months and we were all so happy then this happens. I know this horrible disease touches so many people and indeed my own Sister lost her eldest son to it when he was 51. It just not right for a parent to bury a child is it. Thanks once again for all the messages.
Harelady – Sending strengthening & healing thoughts and my prayers for you & your daughter.
Hi all, not been on for a while but always love reading what you have been up to.
Harelady, you have my prayers and I do sincerely hope your daughters treatment will be fruitful in the long term.
Lindy, just love the pics you post for our daily dose of sheer fun.
OG, glad things are moving along with all the workmen still to finish jobs. No doubt everything will be lovely once completed. Glad you are managing to get about a bit more.
WendyB , glad you had a lovely lunch cooked by your son-in-law. Roast lamb, my favourite.
Getting around quite well but the boot I am in is a cumbersome thing and because you are lop sided the right side carries a lot of the weight so am having to slow down and doing jobs around the house bit by bit. Rest when I can but also feel guilty when having sat for a while, patience is not my strong point. Hopefully by the end of the month I will see some marked improvement.
Dau and Son are taking OH and self out for lunch on Fathers' Day to my OH's favourite carvery with D--in-L joining us as well. Always a nice meal although as I don't like carvery I am going to stick to two starters.
Weather has been windy, but mostly dry so far this week.

Evening all: Just looking at news of huge fire in West London. Looks terrible..
Lynette: Good luck with the boot; hope it isn't a drag on the Father's Day Outing!
Off to bed. Worked a ld;ot in the garden today.
Good Morning. A terrible sight this morning, as the tower block is blazing. They are saying that there are definitely fatalities, but of course as it started in the middle of the night they can't be sure how many. A dreadful business.
Lynette - I did wonder how you would cope when you described your treatment, as it will be very limiting. Hope you can enjoy your outing at the weekend.
The sun is shining here, and we're promised a summers day. Must go and get stuff off the beds and into the machine. My OH has taken the car to the garage as a warning light keeps showing on the dashboard. Hopefully it's just the car battery or something.
Have a good Wednesday, everyone: thinking of Harelady who will be travelling back to her daughter.
Here's today pic:
Labelled "Northern Brown Argus"
Such dreadful news from London. Worse to come, I fear.
It doesn't sound good:: I don't like these tall buildings, they can be lethal.
