Pat. This is the most amazing pub with superb 'pub grub'.

Sounds so good, I feel like getting straight in the car and heading up there!!

  • Glorious weather here, and going to sit in the garden....

Hope that Dibnlib is recovering today :-)

  • We went out for a pizza lunch today. Jaw still tender after the extraction, but one has to eat!!!

  • Good evening, all!  I see a few people appeared during the day – thanks for your posts.

Heather – thanks for the email.  Our cucumbers are grown in the greenhouse – but not the long ones, they are the baby type – same thickness, but short, so don’t go on and on and get manky in the fridge!  OH did look in the courtyard garden centre in Annan (where he bought his bedding plants), but they had no cucumber plants.

Pat – have a wonderful time, both east and west!

Linda – good to see you could sit in the garden today!

Dibnlib – in my previous post to you I was going to suggest to keep off the Soutars’ stonebaked pizzas!  I hope you didn’t do any damage!

Been on my feet a bit more today, but all seems well in the leg.  Also been more helpful in the kitchen.  OH did all the mowing, front and back, and also trimmed all the edges, so we look tidy again.  Looks as if demolition of the old deck will start Thursday next week.  Going to watch Great British Menu in a minute – haven’t seen all the episodes but had a few laughs at some of the ridiculous food combinations!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • OG   We actually went to a place in town (The Black Isle Bar) as OH really fancied draught Black Isle beer,  and I was very careful) My jaw is rather achy now so will take paracetamol before bed. I go to NHS dentist tomorrow for a check up and must ask how exactly to clean the bridge area as I have never had a bridge before and do not want things to go wrong. Also have to make an appt with the hygienist who is probably the best person for advice.

Glad to hear you are much more able now. I am sure that EE and J are really happy to have you back in action.

  • Installer arrived 8 am. We now have a black box and a white box, both with winking lights. So far, so good. Yet to find if phone is affected. Brrr, min last night 2.9 C. Mid-morn it has crept up to 11 with a lovely sunny day, blue sky. Farmers won’t be so happy with no rain forecast.

  • Evening all:

AQ;   Interesting how the twins are so different (I mean, not really, but you wonder how the genes got divided.)  Re political parties,  I'd like a going away one (guess for whom!). Have copy/pasted your most recent caper for a quiet evening...  Winking lights on those kinds of boxes is usually a good sign.

PatO Hope you enjoy your free day. You seem to have an embarrassment of choice now.

OG: Must be nice to be up and about a bit. :-)

Off to sort out dinner. Have a good Thursday everyone.

  • Hello!  It's June!!

Good Morning, Everybody.  Dry outside here and promising to be bright, so must do the last of the laundry before the weather breaks tomorrow. Met a would be bride in the hairdressers yesterday (getting her nails done) who had her freshly painted all crossed for a dry Friday, but I fear she'll be disappointed.

Good news that you're managing to be more mobile, OG. Don't go overdoing it, though.

Glad you're still connected to The Web, AQ!

  • Hey, Annette and anyone else who's interested: SpaceX will launch a Falcon 9 rocket today to carry supplies and experiments to the International Space Station. SpaceX will attempt to land the first stage back on earth after separation. Launch is scheduled for 5:55 p.m. in Florida, 2:55 p.m. in California, and 10:55 p.m. in the U.K. Watch live HERE.

Hello to everyone! Hope you all are well. I'm working very hard today on my project (which was delayed -- not my fault). I'll try to post more when I'm finished.
