Tonight brings an empty nest except for the part fish that EJ brought to the nest while she tried to shout someone away. Unfortunately, a Blue Ring intruder dive bombed her off the nest and left shortly after that. EJ never returned for her fish. :( Blue CT6 was spotted earlier in the day on the camera tree, so perhaps that was the intruder. We still are holding out for Odin.© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild

Its going to be another scorcher up here today by the looks of it, so I suppose I better go and make the most of it.

Morning everyone and thanks for all the captures and updates.
I have thought for a couple of days that this BR is a female by the nature of the attacks but that one was vicious!
This has turned out to be a horrible season here. I am still holding out for Odin and now concern for EJ .. I just hope she doesn't get hurt
Gosh. Very violent attack on EJ there. Quite vicious. Thanks for the video Scylla. Not nice to see but I suppose this is what goes on. How long will shenhand around if she keeps getting attacked like that?
No wind today. Osplets would be open-beaked with the heat.

No idea. In 2015 the intruders dispersed and Odin returned. It was very bad at that time, on occasion.
Morning all. Thank you Scylla, for the pics, vids and excellent reporting. What a sad state of affairs. My heart lifted at the sight of the male Osprey, but alas, I don't think it's Odin. The proportions were wrong, but I'd love to be mistaken. It's very hard to tell with night cam.
Dear EJ being attacked like that. A determined female Blue ring. I suspect CT6 was the perpetrator. But EJ prevailed and was last to leave the nest.

As I am typing this, a female Redstart on the nest, collecting nesting material.

I quite agree, but I had to try :'(
