The season so far:
Mrs G arrived back on the 22nd March and her mate, Aran on the 7th April. Mrs G laid three eggs on the 19th, 22nd, and 25th April. Currently both adults are taking turns to incubate the eggs which are expected to hatch around the end of May.
At the nearby second platform, the Traeth nest, Blue 5F has laid an egg on the 28th April which is likely to be Arans!!

I read on FB yesterday that up until closing time Aran had not delivered a fish to 5F. He had delivered every other day to her.
Morning all - thanks for all the earlier captures and updates.

Lmac - thanks for the latest on 5F. It is sad for 5F but I hope Aran stays away and she is forced to go fishing for herself hence abandoning the eggs.
5F is beginning to remind me of Blue 24 - I really am not in favour of these second platforms.
5f has laid her third egg and Aran delivered a large fish to her this morning. He waited about 40 mins incubating and then went fishing again. Ate half the second fish at PC and then took the other half to Mrs G. 5f still has half her fish on the nest with her.
The other problem is that incubating females can't defend on their own and if Aran is busy incubating elsewhere it puts eggs and chicks at risk at other nest. Horrible situation.
Not really what I wanted to hear but thanks for the update Lmac:-)
Looks like we will just have to wait and see how all this turns out.

Sad news from Pont Croesor/Glaslyn. When 5F was off the nest an opportunistic carrion crow landed on the nest and broke one of the three eggs.
