Loch Garten - Live Camera - Help

Hi Peter. Every day starting between 5 - 6pm my VLC and your cam on flash player start to freeze. I get about a minute of live feed followed by a 10 second freeze over and over again. I thought that it was just me, but others have the same problem.

Sometimes it only lasts for a couple of hours and other times it continues until after 9pm, by which time I've had enough and turned off.

Cam is repeatedly freezing and going down now - it seems a hazardous time of day ???

Oops, didn't see MOFFER's post there.  We do get the symptoms earlier in the day too, but not as regularly.

Buffering started for the two of us "on duty" @ 1825hr but it hasn't turned serious yet.

Just wondering if anyone was having any problems today. I have noticed this evening (15 mins ago), just before night cam came on, loud hissing, picture slightly coming and going in colour and what sounds like a double beat whoop woop, like wind mill blades going round.

The 'windmill' sound you describe is still there this morning.

The sound may either be interference or it might be phasing slightly where it is being wirelessly transmitted from the nest. Thank you for all the other feedback about freezing and buffering. We will try and determine what is happening.

The dates and times are really useful as they allow us look at our server computer logs and see what was going on in the cyber world.

Did you guys reduce the dimensions of the video from 1280px to 720px (length) this week in order to see if it helps the stream? I just noticed.

It should always be 1280 x 720, which known as 720P. Does that help?

Just to let you know, that the stream is freezing every minute or so for about 10 seconds. This has happened before, but in the evenings. It has been happening all morning today :o(
