Yesterday's CATCHUP, including another whole fish for EJ and its return to Odin.
EJ came to the nest after a (probable) Pine Marten clunk was heard - she stayed on watch, perching as far out to the right as possible. This video begins with a clunk and ends with a squit:

Too late for me to add on to vigil vid, she checked around the nest and flew:

I'm hanging around for a while yet Scylla. Hoping to catch Odins face when he sees it.

Looks like EJ has decided she can lay on egg now so that's an hour to harden sufficiently...
Or maybe not, she's up again and I get my first live view of the egg (she's settled now)

Looking more relaxed now:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Am I the only one hoping that all of her eggs will be viable this year? I don't know whether her second egg last year was not viable due to it being one of those things or whether it was due to her age.

I'd also be quite happy with two but part of me hates the idea of her laying an egg she didn't need to. I notice today she appeared to be using her wings for balance, something I don't think I've seen her do before.
Lovely, Moffer - I just got the same snap!
Great news, thanks to all who reported.
