Very quiet at the moment. No sign of osps or dreaded PM. Most of yesterday was repeated mating, and only one part fish from Odin. The exciting incident was the intruder who was captured on the nest sporting a Blue Darvic on the left and BTO on the right. Scottish bird. Maybe VLC will be able to identify...© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild

Thanks for all the great pics and news. I have been chuckling at Odin's diligent housekeeping!
Evening folks, never got a chance to look in yesterday, busy at work and out at night. My the boy has been busy with the stick collecting!
We had a fantastic clip on our local 6.00pm news tonight about the return of the lovely pair to LG. They show it every year, quite strange to see the couple on the TV screen.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

EJ is on the nest. Just checking why, I doubt we'll see anything.

I don't think it was the Pine Marten who brought her to the nest, she's just looking around at air level.
EJ still on the nest - could it be that an egg maybe imminent

I think it's a bit early, Lynette - His Rampantness has only been back for six days. She'll probably lay her first one in the earlier half of next week.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
A flap or two:
When I surfaced (supposedly temporarily) this evening my Carnyx cam was down, so I've been thru the VLC version and found that our couple returned to the nest for their final mating not long after nightcam. However, it played out to the soundtrack of EJ fish-calling - how far out of sync must that have been?! Presumably caused by whatever sent the Carnyx cam down.
