Well as predicted it all started on the 16th March with the arrival of LM12 at Loch of The Lowes. He was about nine days earlier than last year. There then started a rush of ospreys arriving. It looked as if they would all be back very quickly.
However it then all slowed down and for days there were very few ospreys returning. The clue was that the tracked female 30 (05) was making slow progress in France.
Anyway EJ and Odin are both now back. As are LM12 and LF15 at Loch of the Lowes.
Both the males White YA and Yellow 37 are back at Kielder. as is Mrs YA. The female at nest 3 is back there too.
Mrs G arrived on 22 March.
Blue 24 arrived at Dyfi on 24 March and 5F at Glaslyn on 29 March.
The Manton Bay pair if Maya and Blue 33 arrived early too.
So most of the big names are back and only a few left to arrive but they are not expected yet.
So a season to enjoy.

I was having a look at Roy Dennis site, it seems to have changed quite a bit. There are no updates of returning ospreys, but I did see that he plans to track 4 ospreys this year.

I think it is a work in progress. Someone is busy rearranging it and repairing links.
Our tracking links still work.
Thank you Tiger, that's good to know.

At least our ospreys do not have to cope with these
But could Eagle Owls be, or become, a problem? there are some in this country, eg in Yorkshire.

I believe that Eagle Owls and Osprey have always had a problem with each other, and osprey always come off worse.
In 2013 a Rutland tagged bird, Orange 09(98) m, having bred for the first time, was tagged after three?? birds mysteriously disappeared near RW. He set off on his autumn migration, but his tag stopped sending signals in Morocco. RW sent out an appeal for someone to try and retrieve both the body and the tag and the wonderful Farid Lacroix responded, despite his living hundreds of miles away! He drove as far as he could, and then climbed a 1,000 ridge to 09's last known location. He found 09s remains, and the tag - it is thought the he was killed by an eagle owl or jackal while sheltering from a storm. The tag was brought home, cleaned and re-used on Yellow 30(05) f who is now back at Rutland. She returned to RW in 2007 and started to breed in 2009.
