On 22 March, we were all thrilled to see the safe return of Blue 33 and Maya within hours of each other. Since arriving back, 33 and Maya have been busy re-establishing their partnership and building their nest.

The time has now come for Maya to lay her eggs, the first of which we should expect to see very soon.
08:18 33 now arrives with a huge branchy stick
The two of them set about trying to place it - they are having a right tussle with this one :-D
33 then takes off leaving Maya to it LOL
Poor Maya who should be concentrating on laying an egg has spent all this time placing that stick!!
Maya then gives the cup a good scrape. 33 then arrives, mates and then takes off
Maya has now flown. ENS
Off out now .... surely we'll see an egg today!! BFN
I'd have thought we are only just moving into the "Egg window". There is obviously the time gap between the first mating etc, but I suspect an equal issue is the time that it takes the Female to get into shape following the migration. Last year Maya returned on the 21st March & laid on 4th April, this year she was 1 day later returning
Both back to nest mantling.
Tiger's Osprey News
Maya has finally gone back to the nest. They have both been on and off all morning, but the nest has been empty most of the time. Now she seems to be falling asleep.
Well, she was falling asleep before 33 arrived and they mated.
Maya is in position (I think)!
Nope, she's up again.
Mating again.
