Thanks Mary/Darren - another stunning photo.
Well the intrigued continues at Balgavies, the bird with the BTO ring that seemed quite at home on the nest last week has now been replaced with another completely unringed female, the male Green BF has been mating with her reguraly too. I guess there is still time for White UF to turn up but she is late compared to last year which I think she arrived back around 31st March/1st April. The female with the BTO ring wasn't seen yesterday.
Darren sent me some photos he had taken of this new female last night. Also Mike Fenton posted photos on Balgavies Facebook page of the unringed female too that he had taken earlier in the day.
Here she is cleaning her talons

This is like a merry go round!
Birdies LG DU update.
I know Mike, will be a shame if White UF doesn't turn up, but I really hope one female will stay so that this lovely nest has another successful year.
Thanks Mary & Darren. Oh I didn't realise this wasn't White UF that was at Balgravies, I saw UF had been marked as arrived on 1st April, that's not so good then.

Hi Starling
Ah thanks Mary, now that you have explained I do remember a bit of confusion earlier, but as White UF was marked as arrived I just assumed all was well.
Darren has sent me another cracker of a photo of the Balgavies male Green BF who he found fishing at Loch of Kinnordy this afternoon. Obviously fancied a change lol...
He also sent me a photo of a Blue Ringed Osprey he photographed at Loch of Kinnordy at the same time BLUE MR, we are waiting on hearing back any details about this osprey.
Thanks Mary & Darren for the super photos. Hope you manage to get an ID on the osprey.
