Good afternoon all. Lovely sunnt spring day here and very warm :) Looks like EJs nest is in need of some grass cutting! Probably makes for some soft bedding :)
Hope Odin returns soon, Poor EJ looking out over the tree tops for her beloved Odin. Hurry along MR!
Odin is always much later than EJ. That's why she played around some seasons - She was a lonely heart.
I am sure he will be on his way.
Are any of you concerned about the speculated Pine Martin nesting below the nest cup.
Hello Keith. I remember one year he was late and EJ played away with our dear Blue XD, The following year he arrived a little earlier to catch them out! LOL. I dont think he really planned it that way :)
I think the paternity of Alba was in question by some! (No DNA tests for them!)
Yes Keith, the pine Martin could destroy the eggs :( Hope it is not the case
Good news on the Satelite tracked ospreys thread posted by Chrisy, White 14 has left his island home and in Nigeria. Thankyou for that Chrisy. Sorry cant do links on this computer, My skills are very poor
I have to say I am a little concerned about the continued presence of the pine marten. I belive one year, before Odin, there was a failed nest due to a pine marten. I am hoping that things resolve themselves once Odin and EJ are reunited once more.

I am a natural worrier, so yes, I worry about the pine martin, and late arriving mates and crows, and snow and hailstorms and anything else usual or completely unforeseen that threatens Loch Garten nest having a successful, happy family this season.
