earlier report actually referred to a boat
Alan, I am a bit confused. Earlier report of an Osprey 'in flight at Within Way' was actually 'a boat'?! Eh?!
Kind regards, Ann
The osprey is a boat named 'White Osprey'!! Honestly.
Only 65 days to EJ!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thanks, Clare, all clear now!

Overwintering ospreys in France
Thanks for that Alan, I've never seen the report but it seems to be taken from the observations found in various sites, we even got a mention! It'll be interesting if they do another one in a few years to see if the numbers are going up!
Best wishes

Comment :En vol stationnaire au dessus de l'étang. Sans doute le même individu vu au même endroit à plusieurs reprises depuis un mois
Translates as:- Hovering over the pond. Doubtless the same individual seen in the same place several times in a month.
