Don't think my last post posted, so here it is again.
OK, well, Christmas dinner eaten and gifts given and received, so tomorrow we're going to relax and do Nothing!
Meanwhile, the very best wishes of the season to all the dear people on this thread, lurkers included.
EDIT; But now I see it did. Not sure it's me or the site that's not with it!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Oh Clare, if only I had a week free to come to Suffolk ... I must learn to say one of the shortest words in the English language, but I just can't seem to get my mouth around it.
Dibnlib - glad you had a lovely break and were able to take Benson too.
Claire - seems you had a lovely day out - thanks for pics.
AQ - see you've had some rain, I suppose it makes a change from the heat.
Weather has been cold and frosty.

Alas Lynette, we still have the heat with the rain. Very unpleasant. At least we have a/c, some people are unlikely to have power restored until Friday as damage so widespread. Fallen trees on powerlines. Cold & frosty sounds lovely.
I shall have to brave the shops tomorrow to replenish fruit & veg. Apparently hot cross buns appeared in WW stores on Monday!!!!
Evening all: Still digging out from family visit, then gone tomorrow for much of the day.
AQ: "Significant weather event"? Do they mean "big storm." :-)
I see some lovely photos on here from Clare...
Really will catch up in the next day or two (at the most).
Good morning, all. Surely this year can't have any more death in store for us? Carrie Fisher followed by her mother, Debbie Reynolds, a day later. RIP to you both.
My thoughts are with everyone who has lost someone this year.
CLARE More great pics, thank you.
We took a very long route to get to our Christmas break at Pitlochry on Christmas Eve. We extended the journey by visiting Mum for an hour and a half before turning round and heading north again.this time stopping off at the hotel. This time she was awake but in a world of her own. My brother said holding any sort of conversation is impossible now. Still we made the effort to visit, and I am glad we did.
Good afternoon, all. It's been a beautiful day here despite the forecast of early mist. Limpy and I have just come back from a drive around our local country lanes to see what was about - we saw a few buzzards, a sparrowhawk and some kestrels, including this one:
It's not a great picture but you can at least see what it is! Beautiful.
