Well folks, its been a disappointing day in the fact that the three bairns will not be named, tagged or ringed but that has come from official lines as I hope all of you have seen and we have to acknowledge the expertise of the powers that be.Nevertheless, there has been a lot of wing exercising and mini flights on the nest during the course of the day. Not many fish were delivered, but hey, they have to get trim so they can fledge properly.
Paul, you will see that I have replied to you on the last of the posts for yesterday.
All at peace and sleeping with the odd plink plonk of what sounds like rain.!!!!!!!
Happy viewing and see you in the morning, night, night.

Its nice that Debbie let us know about the fledge - we are an impatient crowd but its only because we are so addicted. No doubt I could come up with diagnostic criteria for another new condition - ospreymania.
Not quite gone as EJ has just come back with fortifications putting it on top of one of the youngsters who has now got up in disgust at being disturbed.
Margobird
Have a pic of that, margobird- GEM's not impressed!
EJ just landed with an enormous stick right on top of one of the yougsters. Its now in the middle of them and they are looking at. What is EJ doing with it.
Now they are watching her move the sticks about -- "What are you doing, Mum?"
---this chick's expression says it all!
wow - there is some serious houswork and furniture arranging going on! so pleased to read about the maiden flight - the clip on youtube (cant remember who posted it - but thank you) is excellent and the look on the others faces was priceless - does anyone else think the flight looked a bit 'accidental' though? it looked as if it wanted to go accross the nest and the wind caught it and took it backwards and off!? xx
Just watched it again & it could have been the wind, ghengis! wish we could have seen the expression on the 'flyers' face, too!
Now its time for the Teatime Fish List for today:
EJ brought the 1st fish of the day at 7.13am, then Odin at 9.05am, and 11.15ish, and 15.59pm -
total Fish today so far - 4 Fish.
Just watched the youtube clip - I thought it looked as if 'he' was lifted off from above. The expressions of the other two were wonderful - 'how did he do that?'
