Hello everyone,we have had a mixed day here at LG. Weather has been mixed but unfortunately no ringing, tagging and naming took place. We are still awaiting official word of when and if they are going to go ahead this year. As far as we know they will be R&T and naming them but when that will be is anyones guess. We will have to wait for the official confirmation and just be patient that bit longer.
The three are a bit restless, stretches, fidgiting, but at present are sitting low in the nest. Do take a look at ChrissyB's photo's in yesterdays blogs. Apologies if I've got the name wrong, I'm doing my best to remember who posted them.
After saying they were sleeping two are now up and wing exercising whilst one stays firmly sitting
Happy viewing and we await with anticipation what the morning will bring.

Heron: I keep thinking, "This is it!" And it never is! Now they're all sitting down in a neat little row ("all in their places with bright, shiney faces.")
Annette: I'm at the stage now, whenever I hear the slightest wing movement noise and have my back to the action. I turn round so fast that my feet just about manage to remember to move with the rest of me.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Absolute textbook Chaffinch song, this morning. Radio Chaffinch certainly puting out the top tracks. :-)
Heron: Try walking backward from the computer to close windows, turn on lights, grab some chocolate from the refrigerator - all without taking your eyes off the screen. Am also "watching" a movie, but have no idea what it's about except that there's a lot of shooting right now!
Very loud corvid noise just there. A Raven I think.
Hi Everyone!
It appears Odin doesn't go fishing at 3:30 A.M anymore. Or if he does fish early he is eating his breakfast first before he starts fishing for the family.
He looks a little thin and needs to build up his fat reserves . His fishing marathons burned a lot of calories .
He certainly has given his brood everything he has for them to have a great start in life.
EJ has also been magnificent in her care an attention .
The chicks don't know how lucky they are to have EJ & Odin as their parents
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Well, some idiot here just let off a leftover July 4 firework! There's one in every neighborhood. Missed the raven - also have the LOTL cam on and there's been a whole lot of flapping going on there. Meanwhile, our trio are still lolling, though awake. Funny how they're lined up so neatly.
Hi there Barbara Jean: Yes, and like many kids, they probably don't appreciate all their parents have done for them. :-) All those early mornings Odin spent at the river, hauling heavy furniture up to the nest - and EJ sitting up nights in the rain and snow.....
Heron: Think I just heard that raven.
I think #3 ( formerly Titch lol) is in the center of this morning's line up . It's eyes have always looked a little different from the other two . I don't know how to explain the difference I just know when I see it .
It's head is a little smaller and more narrow , like Odin's
Gosh Barbara Jean: I'm visually challenged when it comes to osprey chicks. They look like three peas in a pod to me. Wonder if they've got a good view over the side of the nest - they certainly are looking around at one thing or another.
