Hello everyone,we have had a mixed day here at LG. Weather has been mixed but unfortunately no ringing, tagging and naming took place. We are still awaiting official word of when and if they are going to go ahead this year. As far as we know they will be R&T and naming them but when that will be is anyones guess. We will have to wait for the official confirmation and just be patient that bit longer.
The three are a bit restless, stretches, fidgiting, but at present are sitting low in the nest. Do take a look at ChrissyB's photo's in yesterdays blogs. Apologies if I've got the name wrong, I'm doing my best to remember who posted them.
After saying they were sleeping two are now up and wing exercising whilst one stays firmly sitting
Happy viewing and we await with anticipation what the morning will bring.

"Look kids ... this is how you do it ... jump into the air, flap your wings and glide!" EJ gives yet another flying lesson.

Right, I must go and do other things too ... young ones seem quiet for the moment .... cue for somebody to fledge probably!
They are all asleep. Must make dinner while the going's good. Catch up later.
Have been busy gardening, but looked in occasionally to watch the flying lessons....
Here is the Teatime Fish List (although I can't believe it is correct, so please let me know if anyone saw another fish arrive!) All I have written down is:
1st Fish at 7.25am, courtesy of Odin - then another fish at 16.15pm, from Odin but given to the chicks to eat by themselves, by EJ.
Total 2 fish ??

Flying lessons. :)
I have seen her do this in years past when the chicks look like they are almost ready to fledge.
She shows them to jump on take off .

EJ and Odin will start bringing a few more fish per day after they fledge. They don't want them to fat to fly
They are all up and having a really good flap around.
Hello everyone - Bit late in the day but just want to say what I said on the main blog -'what will be, will be'. Yes, there are learning opportunities lost to us, but the thought of our birds flying wild, flying free, has its own appeal.
One chick is really mastering the lift off and hovering. I do believe its raining now.....
The one at the front looks ready to go! Raindrops are getting in the way :-(
