Hello everyone,we have had a mixed day here at LG. Weather has been mixed but unfortunately no ringing, tagging and naming took place. We are still awaiting official word of when and if they are going to go ahead this year. As far as we know they will be R&T and naming them but when that will be is anyones guess. We will have to wait for the official confirmation and just be patient that bit longer.
The three are a bit restless, stretches, fidgiting, but at present are sitting low in the nest. Do take a look at ChrissyB's photo's in yesterdays blogs. Apologies if I've got the name wrong, I'm doing my best to remember who posted them.
After saying they were sleeping two are now up and wing exercising whilst one stays firmly sitting

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Same osprey is now the lookout. He/she hasn't settled since brother/sister woke him/her up. Seems unperturbed by rain and is preening and enjoying its 'me' time. Think I should call it a day now. Catch up with you all in the morning. Goodnight.
Oh Lynette you have returned. Think your pix were taken quite a while ago. There has been only one youngster awake for a bit per my commentary. Anyway, you'll be starting a new thread soon so I'll be off as I was just saying goodnight. Byeee
Hi everyone.Thanks for all the brilliant pics and informative updates. Tried to get on earlier but was only online for about 10 minutes when my connection started having problems. Thankfully okay now but I'll say no more in case I tempt fate.Pity about the GEMs not being able to get ringed but I think it's right that the saftey of the Ospreys and people was taken to be the most imortant thing. As for the rude comments by that eejit on the main blog. People like that are best ignored in my opinion. They seek attention so don't give any.Paul.

Hi Paul,
My connection has dropped a couple of times tonight, but only briefly. This happened once two days ago for the first time with my current ISP, I hope a call won't be needed soon. Thankfully I use one of the broadband providers who have their own equipment at the local exchange, so I wouldn't have to go through the painful experience of dealing with BT at that point. The 'last mile' to our house is of course another matter.....
I took quite a few video clips earlier of the GEMs and their flying attempts, so if you or anyone else wants to see them, I can post them up on YouTube. I also have a couple of good ones from LoL.

As you know we have people from all over the world in different time zones so everyone misses some of the action . I am in the USA and 6 hours behind LG, so I miss a lot of daytime activity. I do stay up late to see as much as I can. This is such a privilege to watch this nest & LOTL that I don't want to miss too much.
