Hello everyone,we have had a mixed day here at LG. Weather has been mixed but unfortunately no ringing, tagging and naming took place. We are still awaiting official word of when and if they are going to go ahead this year. As far as we know they will be R&T and naming them but when that will be is anyones guess. We will have to wait for the official confirmation and just be patient that bit longer.
The three are a bit restless, stretches, fidgiting, but at present are sitting low in the nest. Do take a look at ChrissyB's photo's in yesterdays blogs. Apologies if I've got the name wrong, I'm doing my best to remember who posted them.
After saying they were sleeping two are now up and wing exercising whilst one stays firmly sitting
Happy viewing and we await with anticipation what the morning will bring.

What a handsome young osprey .... preening like mad ... has to look its best for the first flight!

Well snapped DjoanS. You can easily see what Richard was meaning about the change in their feathers. There is a lot of fluff coming away beneath their wings.
Just saw an osprey fly past the nest from right to left. Could it have been EJ off to fish now that the intruder has gone? EDIT - no, she's back on the nest.
All quiet now. An osprey just flew by , it could have been EJ and back she comes onto the nest. One youngster is still sitting on the edge nearest the camera. She has gone over to the far side and is off again whilst the one nearest the cam looks on. And now she is back and lands on the side of the nest nearest the camera but is off again. What is she doing??
Looks like she is showing them some short flights Lynette. They are watching her intently.
One youngster is practising its take off manouvers. EJ is now back again. Now she is off again whilst the youngster looks on.

The one that was practising keeps having a go at going from side to side of the nest at the back. Now its just walked through the other two and proceeds to move the furniture.
Well, things seem to have quietened down a bit so I am off to do other things. Catch up later.
EJ is back and now stepping on her brood whilst moving the twig one of them moved earlier. Their housekeeping isn't up to scratch yet it would seem!
