Hello, Willow. I see that you found the Gabfest, even tho we had fallen back a page on the index. Glad you made the effort.
good evening all. Good to see that Cromarty has crossed the channel across the Sussex coast! EJ and Odins chicks are growing bigger and bigger every day they change! Not long before they start flapping their wings and helicoptering :) No longer cute bobbleheads
June I have to let you know that my raspberries (the summer fruiting ones) have died just went brown and died even though they started off well !
Hi Willow And I must tell you that I think my raspberries are also pretty much dead. They started the spring with two old canes doing fairly well. Then the smallest cane died and the larger one started not looking so good. Now I think it is gone too. That is it for potted blackberries or raspberries. I won't plant anymore, but it was a fun experiment as I had you to share it with.
Hmm Reading those two posts again it seems pretty much the same thing happened to both of us. Rather strange that the same thing happens in two different gardens all the way across the great Atlantic and almost half a continent, don't you think.
A spray of sunshine on the LG nest. Just after I took this snippit one of the chicks came out to greet the day.
ne It is raining this evening at Loch Garten. Can't see anything but can hear the drops quite well. The chicks are covered and EJ is sitting with her head tucked under. She raised it long enough to shake water from her head, neck and shoulders, then tucked back in again.
Hi Alan, I'm glad to see your like. Didn't know you ever even looked in to the Gabfest.
I think this program may be on now as I speak. Hope you all are enjoying it. The station is not available here in the States.
Oh how I would love to be in Lerwick now for the mid-summer long long days.!!
Also I just read on aurora alert that conditions are right for some Northern lights/Heavenly Dancers.
Then I could come down to Loch Garten to watch EJ & Odin and the chicks, maybe in time to see the ringing.
