Happy Family, thank you, Birdie
At 2000hr yesterday evening the osplets polished off their last fish, so we're hoping for an early delivery this morning.
EJ doesn't seem to have slept all night and has not (unless it was during a freeze) taken a bathroom break or even had a flap!
Here she is now:
IMAGICAT
EJ takes a comfort flight.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
She's back and starting a feed with her 'come and get it' call.
Both chicks had a bite ot two, but not very hungry. EJ ate :)
Feed over. A small piece of tail left.
Hello my fellow Ospreyholics :-) Many thanks for all the updates, pictures etc. Have to say that fish Odin brought in this morning must've originally came with a pair of some oars and a couple of life jackets ;-) so happy to see the chicks doing so well, and growing at roughly the speed of sound. Looks very peaceful at LG just now :-)
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Morning Heron.
Happy one week old birthday #2 :)
I'm off to the garden. BBL.
I could hear the chirping from the garden! After a wing stretch, EJ feeds them again.
They didn't want much at all. EJ moves a stick and settles again
Tailfin+ left of the big fish now.
They must be stuffed!!!
Indeed Lindybird. EJ is up and calling to them. They are not moving.
#2 is managing a few bites
#1 is sleeping (fish coma no doubt) Down goes the fin
and it's all over. The fish is gone.
EJ takes a very short break, chicks are in a heap
and back to trying to cover them.
EJ is preening on the side of the nest. The chicks are sleeping.
I'm off to do some painting. See you tea time :)
