Hi, Its been a quiet sort of day if you don't count the wind which has been ferocious sounding at times, its the mike that picks it up.
Only 3 fish delivered all day, this no doubt due to the weather. but having said that the young ospreys have been well provided for over the last few weeks so a day without much probably won't harm them and in fact lett all that fat on them dissipate a bit, hmmmmm.
Seriously though, lets hope the weather is better today so that the ringing and tagging can take place which is scheduled for 8pm tonight.
The bairns are close together, some fidgiting going on and looking around but on the whole they are keeping their heads down with this wind.
Happy viewing everybody, see you in the morning, night, night.

Odin with a nice big fish, EJ comes in a few seconds later to take it
Odin arrives with a fish.
Odin just brought a fish. :-) EJ landed on nest a roughly the same time.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
EJ paused in her starting to feed the fish to the GEM's - she was watching something intently. Only two of the youngsters seemed interested in food at first - wonder if they are programmed to not be as hungry at this stage, now they have grown sufficiently?
Now all 3 queued up to eat. ----no, take that back: one still wants to practice to fly like Mum & Dad....
One wing flapping.
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Nice pic of wings, Sandra. A lively nest this morning: some eating, some exercising, some preening - and all in that dratted wind, so lots of feathers blowing everywhere.
intruder about.. EJ mantling and looking to the sky..
doesn't seem like it hung around for long though.. i guess it figured it had no chance with 4 full grown Ospreys on the nest
