Hi, Its been a quiet sort of day if you don't count the wind which has been ferocious sounding at times, its the mike that picks it up.
Only 3 fish delivered all day, this no doubt due to the weather. but having said that the young ospreys have been well provided for over the last few weeks so a day without much probably won't harm them and in fact lett all that fat on them dissipate a bit, hmmmmm.
Seriously though, lets hope the weather is better today so that the ringing and tagging can take place which is scheduled for 8pm tonight.
The bairns are close together, some fidgiting going on and looking around but on the whole they are keeping their heads down with this wind.
Happy viewing everybody, see you in the morning, night, night.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Good evening and thanks for all the pics and news. Just popping in before I go to bed and pleased that I have not missed the ringing and tagging. Looks a lot calmer now at LG so hopefully it may get done tomorrow. I did see the post about the chicks being jumpy, was that because and intruder was around again. Have a good night all see you in the morning.

Last picture sans bling?
Fingers crossed for a fine, windless, intruderless (ringers excepted) morning tomorrow! :)

EJ has been frantic because of the intruder. In her aggitated state who knows what she might do if she sees the ringers and the ladder. She is a powerful bird with massive talons. The safety of the ringers must be considered too.

Thanks for all the day's news & pics. Disappointing that they are not R & B, but perhaps when I return home this afternnon? BTW, I am not addicted, I had breakfast before checking my computer this morn. LOL
Oh hello Barbara Jean. I don't often get a chance to 'speak' to you. Glad to see you here. If its a pleasant morning I think you are in for lots and lots of wing exercising and above nest levitations! The youngsters are desperate to give their wings a really good flap. Looking forward to whatever tomorrow brings. Emma.
EDIT: Morning to you too AQ
Hello Emma. All quiet & snoozy on the nest. Like teenagers LOL
Night vision camera on and all is very quiet on the nest, even the wind has died down. Youngsters are semi-awake and a bit fidgity. One has just got up for a stretch and is now preening, I'm sure its the eldest one.
Hi aqulaireen, you're early tonight. No, no R&T today but hopefully they may do it tomorrow.
Hi AQ. Yes I was thinking that the teenagers are resting after a challenging couple of days. No doubt they will waken when dawn breaks feeling refreshed and energised - ready for lots of uninhibited wing exercising, nest hovering, etc. Should be fun although I will be asleep and rain is forecast at around 10am. Will look in tomorrow afternoon between 2 and 3pm after work. Can't wait. Emma
