Hi, Its been a quiet sort of day if you don't count the wind which has been ferocious sounding at times, its the mike that picks it up.
Only 3 fish delivered all day, this no doubt due to the weather. but having said that the young ospreys have been well provided for over the last few weeks so a day without much probably won't harm them and in fact lett all that fat on them dissipate a bit, hmmmmm.
Seriously though, lets hope the weather is better today so that the ringing and tagging can take place which is scheduled for 8pm tonight.
The bairns are close together, some fidgiting going on and looking around but on the whole they are keeping their heads down with this wind.
Happy viewing everybody, see you in the morning, night, night.

I really must get on with some housework, back in a wee while.
Thanks Alan for the clip there is very little room on that nest when all five of them are there.

I do think it is worth watching Lofty's clip at LOtL, definitely towards the end.
EJ looking at them - "Did I really produce these giants??"
-- note that the one on the right laying down, is producing the most noise at present!
Somebody is having a right old grumble on the nest ... surely nobody can be hungry!

Now the only one I can usually identify is #2 because it has the white on the side of it's head, # 1 & #3 look alike now that their tails are about the same size.
The wind still appears strong . I wonder if they will ring and tag them today. It may be dangerous for the ringers . I don't think I would want to be on a 60 foot ladder in this wind .
If they can't ring or tag one or all of them this year it doesn't take away one moment of pleasure I have experienced in watching them grow and learn
Thanks for all the pics and information !!

Thanks Alan. I did watch the delivery, so it was interesting to watch the different birds' reactions on his arrival and Odin's ' I have to get out of here...........' expression.
EJ just flew off and one young one watched her go and followed her going past the nest.
I really need some more exercise
All up now and exercising those wings.
