Hi, Its been a quiet sort of day if you don't count the wind which has been ferocious sounding at times, its the mike that picks it up.
Only 3 fish delivered all day, this no doubt due to the weather. but having said that the young ospreys have been well provided for over the last few weeks so a day without much probably won't harm them and in fact lett all that fat on them dissipate a bit, hmmmmm.
Seriously though, lets hope the weather is better today so that the ringing and tagging can take place which is scheduled for 8pm tonight.
The bairns are close together, some fidgiting going on and looking around but on the whole they are keeping their heads down with this wind.
Happy viewing everybody, see you in the morning, night, night.

How far is your airport? We are 5 mins by car, so get the dau's pickup calls. I wish that GEM on left would settle down like the others. Much as I want to see the fledging, not yet please until ringed.
FISH DELIVERY by EJ. The Flapper prefers to wingercise. Other pair up and chattering. EJ shaking herself.
Hey AQ: Airport is 10 minutes (not LAX I hasten to add; just the local weedpatch). OH is doing the pickup so that's nice, but still must get to bed before too long. Very exciting at LOTL - one bird could take off any time!!
Hi everyone.
Great to see such a peaceful meal as always :-)
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
EJ feeds two. Now one has wandered off to shift sticks. Finally the Flapper decides to seek breakfast. The stick-mover is standing in front of camera making that delightful neck movement they do.
Good afternoon Heron. Glad I won't be talking to myself when Annette disappears. LOL. Only one GEM still eating - is it that bottomless pit, hollow-legged one known as Titch?
GEMs scattered around nest, so EJ finishing fish. But no, Stick-mover has returned to feed.
Hi.Absolutely top-notch commentary AQ. You paint a great picture :-) A few seconds ago it looked like a second GEM would join Stick-mover but after some consideration decided he/she was full.

Thanks, Heron. I haven't had time to learn to take pics yet. I do appreciate the Day Shift reports & pics when I read them next morn, so I do what I can while Those-Up-Over are still abed. That fish must have been HUGE, EJ is still eating.
EJ flossing, rearranging cushions. She calls and . . . flies off. Must be chasing intruder as GEMs all lying low in nest. Peace. (except for Radio Chaffinch and wind).
