Hi everyone.
Can't believe how fast this evening has flown in. Well yestarday was an exciting day with fish deliveries in the wind, intruders being swiftly dealt with, and the youngsters getting closer to making their first flight. Especially when one levetated several inches above the nest. Wonderful stuff. Can't wait to see what tommorrow brings. :-)
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Serious wing flapping going on. Good exercising of the wings by all three.

Don't know what the wind speed is currently at LG, but the next two days are forecast to be 21 - 23 mph. I assume that the forecast is for ground level so it will be considerably higher at nest level!
If ringing has been delayed because of the wind then there is no chance of it happening in the next 48 hours. If that's the case then let's hope there are still three juves on the nest by then.

It usually sounds worse than it is, because of the mike position possibly.
Maybe David could leave one of his socks flying on the nest.

Could EJ have gone fishing, the youngsters are alone at present, all keeping low out of the wind.
Back later, have to go and get dinner.

Can hear rain beginning to 'plink' on the microphone, now. The wind does usually sound worse than it is, as it passes over the microphone.
All 3 youngsters are lying down in the nest.
