Hi everyone.
Can't believe how fast this evening has flown in. Well yestarday was an exciting day with fish deliveries in the wind, intruders being swiftly dealt with, and the youngsters getting closer to making their first flight. Especially when one levetated several inches above the nest. Wonderful stuff. Can't wait to see what tommorrow brings. :-)

DjoanS It is to me, one of Mother Natures miracles how some species can grow so fast when that is what's needed for their situation. We have been able once again this year to witness this.
Hi margobird: Look at the differences in their tails in that pic - the middle one is still Titch!
"Oh, well if there's not much fish left - I'll just fly about for a bit!"
DjoanS as Lindybird says it is one of Mother Nature's miracles. I can hardly believe that these 3 are now so big when you remember how small they were when first hatched. All down to wonderful parenting from EJ and Odin. One of them got off the nest when wing flapping then and a little cheep as it to say look at me. Got smile as EJ got out of the way.
Margobird
Lindybird you are right the only chance of me identifying them is when they are back end on to the camera. When they are scattered all over the nest I I have no chance. Great pic of the one that got off the ground again.
Other one is having a go at getting into the air now and EJ has decided enough is enough and flown off the nest. This is wonderful to watch.
EJ can be so proud of what she's achieved this year - 3 very healthy young ones, all strong and now raring to go...
I am laughing out loud here as they have all now tried to take off. Please don't do it before they can ring and satellite tag all of you.
Another one for the 'Headless chick' competition, as they preen for a bit..

EJ can certainly be proud once again. What a fantastic Mum she is and of course we mustn't forget our wonderful Odin who has been so prolific with his fishing again. Long may they reign at LG.
