Hi folks, hope you enjoyed the revalries (not sure of the spelling)and relaxed in America. Hi to our Finnish and Australian friends and anyone whom I have missed out.
Its been a very windy day at LG with I think 5 fish delivered in total. EJ had a job to stay on the nest at times and during the course of the day we found her huddled next to her young ospreys trying to keep them dry and sheltered from the wind. Of course they are too big for that and at times she was the one trying to get under them. She is off the nest at the time being and our youngsters are staying tight on the nest in a huddle. Do hope the wind dies down by morning so that they can be ringed and blinged and soon we shall know their names.
If it stays too windy they will try another day, but hopefully sometime this week.
Happy viewing and night, night.

All quiet on the nest. Three snoozing.
Not often I'm here at this hour but unable to sleep due to heat!
Things beginning to stir on the nest so thought I would hang around just in case 'something' happens. Wind has definitely died down so you never know ...
Lots of wing flapping from 2 young'uns. Third pretending its not happening and is determined to sleep in.
EDIT: Now all three are up and doing synchronised wingercising.
Goodness. They are making up for not having been able to flap around yesterday by desperately trying to stir up their own wind machine.
Seem to be waiting for EJ who is taking her time about joining them.
Hallo all - well Lynette (thanks again for your cheery start and summary!); And AQ and Flying C. Hot? Where are you? Surely not in the UK? :-) Just saw the flapping spectacle. Looks like someone is sitting on someone else's head right now...... Whoops, the sittee managed to extricate him/herself. Lovely light right now.
Morning ablutions well under way. Lots of preening and vigorous scratching. Amazes me that with those talons they don't cause themselves harm.
Two have settled back down, third one is determined to look good in case of visitors, and continues preening.
The sun is up and shining over half the nest.
Ah! At last! Hi Annette!
Am in Southern France and temps are very hot. Can't really complain as we do have air con which makes life more bearable at night.
Edit: Just checked. Its about 80 F and the sun not up yet.
Seem to have scared off Annette...
Continued lying down preening going on. The one closest the camera is having trouble getting to that especially itchy spot just under the wing. Now frenzied preening from the other side and at last, that particular feather is just right.
Still no EJ.
All three have settled back down and gone back to deep sleep. Very little wind. Just a small breeze occasionally stirring a feather. No rain. What's keeping the team? Looks perfect for a little ring and bling exercise.
Drat. I shouldn't have posted that about the wind. I think its beginning to get up a bit now.
