Hi folks, hope you enjoyed the revalries (not sure of the spelling)and relaxed in America. Hi to our Finnish and Australian friends and anyone whom I have missed out.
Its been a very windy day at LG with I think 5 fish delivered in total. EJ had a job to stay on the nest at times and during the course of the day we found her huddled next to her young ospreys trying to keep them dry and sheltered from the wind. Of course they are too big for that and at times she was the one trying to get under them. She is off the nest at the time being and our youngsters are staying tight on the nest in a huddle. Do hope the wind dies down by morning so that they can be ringed and blinged and soon we shall know their names.
If it stays too windy they will try another day, but hopefully sometime this week.
Happy viewing and night, night.

Morning all: Thanks for pix, posts, commentary and weather forecasts! If they do the ring-and-bling in the a.m. I'll miss it, but maybe some clever folk will put a video link somewhere. :-) EJ doing her yoga right now; chicks settled.
Bearing in mind that Rothes fledged on 15th July last year, I think the ringing and tagging has to be done this week. Tuesday looks best weather wise. Thursday forecast is also good but more windy.
Hello, All. Just come in. Can't see any 'bling' yet on our 3 'GEM's!
EJ comes in with a stick - gather that she has brought a few , today

Going out so will catch up later.
EJ calling and looking around, while the chicks look up from the reclining position. Could be a fish soon.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Thought it sounded more like alarm calling, Heron. Could be wrong .... It's hard to look back today and work out how many fish, for me to do a Fish List, I'm afraid.
Many thanks to All for reports/posts/photos - it sounds quite an eventful day all the same, with intruders, and wind, and GEM's feeding themselves! Special thanks to Pharazon for clip of the intruder landing on the nest!
Hang on - Odin just delivered medium sized FISH!
has anyone elses sound gone odd? EJ's calling is very quiet and it sounds like someone has tied a tin can to the post under the microphone, which is rattling, and the wind noise is a loud hissing that seems to drown everything out, i wonder if the mic got blown about and damaged in all the wind and rain yesterday?? hmmm xxx
Here's Odin with a fish ... only two up to feed ... Odin doing a bit of housework
