Happy Independence Day America. (hope I've got my history right)
It was a very gusty day at LG. What with EJ having difficulty landing earlier on that day and trying to keep on the nest when she was there. Lots of wing flapping exercises, one nearly took off but not quite. To top it all it started to rain.
EJ is right on the edge of the nest and has now taken off , probably going to her roost tree. Earlier she brought in a very large trout and just before that Odin had brought in a fish and left it for the youngsters. One did try to feed itself and then when mum came back with hers, abandoned it and went to mum for a feed. In all an entertaining day watching these incredible birds.
Happy viewing and we'll see what today brings. Night, night.

Couldn't agree more Heron - superb raptors and Odin a very skilful fisher
EJ still calling despite the wind. I'm sure you all know but there is a very informative blog by Richard on the main site.
The Three have now been called into joining in by EJ
It looks like EJ has given up calling Odin and flown off herself, maybe to go fishing.

Hi Cirrus :-)To be honest, most of the shots I manage to capture, only look good by accident. LOL I actually planned to get a pic of Odin with EJ and the GEMs. Needless to say my timing was out, and I ended up with Odin flying off the nest. Although to be fair I like it because of the action in the shot.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
EJ is back and trying to stay put but with the wind gusting as it is, it is hard.
Off she goes again.
where's mum gone??
Hi, All: glad to see there's been a fish, however small. Wonder if EJ has gone to practice her fishing skills now, she is such a good hunter.
