Happy Independence Day America. (hope I've got my history right)
It was a very gusty day at LG. What with EJ having difficulty landing earlier on that day and trying to keep on the nest when she was there. Lots of wing flapping exercises, one nearly took off but not quite. To top it all it started to rain.
EJ is right on the edge of the nest and has now taken off , probably going to her roost tree. Earlier she brought in a very large trout and just before that Odin had brought in a fish and left it for the youngsters. One did try to feed itself and then when mum came back with hers, abandoned it and went to mum for a feed. In all an entertaining day watching these incredible birds.
Happy viewing and we'll see what today brings. Night, night.

Good Morning all, weather is atrocious up there. The bairns are keeping low and huddled together in the wind and rain.
Thanks Heron for the night shot and early morning one, very atmospheric, particularly the night one.
Thanks for all the updates too.
Odin with a FISH!
EJ calling Odin in and here he comes with a FISH. Nearly getting blown away when he lands. EJ talking to him or is it an intruder alert. Not sure. Having a job to stayh on the nest. The young ones are all up now. He is staying for a few moments
Sounds like Odin's on his way ... here he is ... gosh its windy there
Another fine delivery from Super Odin :-)
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
EJ came back tothe nest, shouting before she even landed! then she did her backwards walk and looked up... he came in from a different side this time....
-- not a huge fish so won't last long!

it's difficult to see who's who through the water on the lens
Odin has gone now. Wing exercising going on. EJ trying to feed them but its wings are going over its sibling and EJ. Not easy.
Only one interested in food at the moment ... two more interested in testing their wings in the wind. Another joins the feeding line.
