Hi everyone, not seen much of the action yesterday as I have been on and off the computer. Believe it had its moments though.
All quiet as all three GEM's are sleeping and EJ must be roosting in a tree nearbye.
Not sure what the weather is doing, it sounded like a shower earlier.
Happy viewing, see you all in the morning.

Thanks for starting the thread Lynette.A very warm welcome to budgie23 who brings the number of people in the group up to 365.Sounds very windy at LG. Good job those youngsters are weighed down with all that fish. ;-)Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Thanks Paul
I have been watching these magnificent creatures for 2 years now.
I switch on the laptop first thing in the morning to see them before I go to work and they are the first thing I look at when I get home.
I visited Loch Garten a couple of weeks ago too, and was lucky enough to see 2 fish deliveries by Odin and an Intruder, who was of course scared off by the wonderful EJ
I have Odin's chance feeding of the wee babies in my YouTube favourites alongside videos by my favourite bands.
The chicks are incredibly cute from birth to the way they are now - clumsy big gorgeous idiots. It's still hard just now to believe they will fly off and start a life elsewhere like Rothes et al did so comfortably last year.
But then again they are EJ and Odin's kids :-)
Yes, I truly love these wondeful chums of ours
:-)
Hi budgie23. That must've been fantastic to see EJ, Odin and the weans in the flesh. This is my first season watching them and I must admit its extremely adictive. Amazing how they grow so quickly, from tiny defenseless chicks to big powerful raptors. Of course they've got wonderful parents. :-)Well the yougsters are resting peacefully despite the wind at LG. I'm away to roost now, so catch you all later.Paul
Three snoozing GEMs in dawn light.
Welcome Budgie23! GEM is an acronym for Great Eating Monsters or something like that (it was used affectionately) to describe these three monster chicks!
Hi all, very late tuning in tonight, but everyone on the nest seems to be snoozing in the morning sun.
EJ arrives and is moving furniture. Chicks are waking up; Wow! One has a flap and my heavens those wings are huge!. Everyone else lay low! Hmm. EJ leaves again.
EJ came to the nest moved a few twigs and flew off. #1 watched her leave and immediately started flapping it's wings and looking in the direction she flew as if it wanted to follow her :)
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
All three up now and stretching, preening and trying to find room for a flap. Wonder if EJ went off to get fish take-out.
Hey Barbara Jean: #1 looks ready to go. Much stronger and more prolonged flapping, compared to the others, from what I see (which isn't much these days!) Wonder when they'll be ringing/tagging them.
