Hi everyone, last day of June already. I have just been looking at my pics of when they were first born backend of May, from three tinies to three huge young ospreys, the rate of growth in a month seems phenomenal.
Anyhow on to yesterday, A more or less routine day with the three getting up to their usual antics and EJ keeping a motherly eye on them most of the time. She did leave the nest on occasions for longer periods, one to go fishing and bring back a whopper, round about teatime this was.
All three are resting with fidgiting and wing stretching inbetween. EJ must be on her roost tree nearbye as she isn't on the nest.
I am signing off now, see you in the morning. Happy viewing.

Good morning Lindybird and thanks we will enjoy ourselves. We love going to live shows and our diary goes into next year with shows we are going to see. I will look forward to catching up with things tomorrow.
Great day for fish yesterday and hopefully will be the same today with two fish delivered already.

EC ADBG EG - no, I haven't taken leave of my senses - yet...! Dedicated to the staff and volunteers up at Loch Garten, I've put together a short 'ditty' in the style of JS Bach (though he'd probably cringe!), using the musical notes (above) derived from EJ, ODIN and LG. So, you've heard it hear first - the world premiere of the 'Loch Garten Fugue' - it only lasts 1'26"

When I looked at live cam, a number of Ospeys were there preening. I counted "EJ on left - chicks on right - one , two ... wait a minute ..." it was actually a chick on left in EJ's normal position!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Know what you mean, OG ! - they are so big now, you have to do a double take and look at the colours of their feathers to be sure of which one is EJ! Wonder what she thinks of these monsters she has produced?!
Standing on the edge of the nest, calling for Dad and ...... FISH!
Now we'll stand near the camera end of the nest, and peck hard at the barriers, all together now, Go.!....
Morning all ... thanks for ovenight posts ... two fish deliveries I see. Young ones home alone at the moment ... preening and mooching around ... someone's complaining though! Looks a lovely morning and they are panting, so must be quite warm.
Off out for the morning shortly, so hopefully there will have been a fish (or two!) when I return.

..............or, if Mum's watching us, we could just pretend to be preening......
Morning all and thanks for updates and pics.
Three young ospreys getting up to mischief at the edge of the nest, camera end.
2 fish already then, wonder when the next one will arrive.
A soft rustle of feathers, and EJ returns... all heads turn to look.... "Havn't you brought anything, then??"...
EDIT: She looked at them all, they looked at her, she looked at them..... then she flew off again!
