Hi everyone, last day of June already. I have just been looking at my pics of when they were first born backend of May, from three tinies to three huge young ospreys, the rate of growth in a month seems phenomenal.
Anyhow on to yesterday, A more or less routine day with the three getting up to their usual antics and EJ keeping a motherly eye on them most of the time. She did leave the nest on occasions for longer periods, one to go fishing and bring back a whopper, round about teatime this was.
All three are resting with fidgiting and wing stretching inbetween. EJ must be on her roost tree nearbye as she isn't on the nest.
I am signing off now, see you in the morning. Happy viewing.

Think #1 ate first. Other two are hanging back? Maybe Barbara Jean can tell....
EJ on favorite perch; chicks snoozing.
EJ has left the building (with Elvis?)
EJ back on the nest. Calling; suspect we're about to get our second fish of the day - and here's Odin! Oh my. EJ busy tearing into it - can't see it since chick in way. Odin leaves. Three chicks up; nobody's rushing. Oh geez. I still can't figure out who's eating. Think I get bleary-eyed at this time of night.
Anyway folks, two fish so far today and I'm off to bed. Happy viewing.
Titch is on the left ( short tail) #2 is in the middel ( white on the side of it's head) #1 is on the right ( long tail)
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Have you noticed the chicks are so fat they don't have much of a neck in the back LOL
Good morning all and thanks as usual to the night shift for chat. Two fish already so that is good news. as I type some half hearted wing stretching going on, largest I think and a quick poo and now getting down to some preeening. They are now huge, almost as big as EJ when you see them standing. Lovely sunny day at LG and no wind. Can only watch for a while today so I am going to miss such a lot I know until I log in tomorrow morning.
Margobird
Morning, All: Thanks for last nights/this mornings reports and pics. 2 fish already today - good.
Three GEM's alone on the nest, two resting and one fidgeting, just now. EJ apparently grooving somewhere with Elvis (see Annettes post earlier !)
Hi margobird - you snuck in while I was typing! Enjoy your trip and concert today- you are a gadabout these days! We shall leave reports for you to read tomorrow about the fish deliveries etc today.
Stretching and fiddling going on, in the sunshine (as margobird says, no wind today, so should be good for fishing, Odin !!)
