Hi everyone, last day of June already. I have just been looking at my pics of when they were first born backend of May, from three tinies to three huge young ospreys, the rate of growth in a month seems phenomenal.
Anyhow on to yesterday, A more or less routine day with the three getting up to their usual antics and EJ keeping a motherly eye on them most of the time. She did leave the nest on occasions for longer periods, one to go fishing and bring back a whopper, round about teatime this was.
All three are resting with fidgiting and wing stretching inbetween. EJ must be on her roost tree nearbye as she isn't on the nest.
I am signing off now, see you in the morning. Happy viewing.

a fish has appeared, but no adult... two of the chicks digging in..
i guess odin must have delivered it
the fact the Odin left the fish with no sign of EJ coming back means she must be off fishing herself; she wouldn;t be so far away for any other reason
---its quite funny...
One is trying to get to grips with it, the other one is trying to pinch it of it, and one doesn't seem too interested. A lot of shouting by the one with its back to us. It looks as though its pinched the fish. Here we go, sorting out the pecking order???
All three have had a go at the fish:
It was Odin was it and not EJ. Oh well, they have to learn to share it, hmmm.
--that's what I thought, Pharazon - she would be on the nest if she was nearby and saw Odin returning - there may be another fish to eat in a few minutes!
One of them is ripping and tearing at the fish, in front of camera- just below the barrier. One is watching, interested in the method, and the other Babe is just mooching around...
One has definitely got its choppers on it, now one is wing exercising and hitting the one with the fish. The one at the back is now have a bit of wing exercise.. One nearest the cam seems to be getting quite frustrated with the fish. The other two are not too bothered, wait till mum comes and she'll give us some.
Oh ... look what I've been missing when I was out in the garden... young ones feeding themselves! I wondered why there were feeding 'squeaks' and no EJ in view :-)
