Hi to all our viewers from overseas and those late ones here.
It has been a fairly quiet day, intruder alerts in the morning/afternoon, a bit of a barney between two youngsters but sorted out. EJ took no notice. Only 4 fish from Odin but EJ brought in a whopper late evening and they were at it for at least half an hour I think.
At present all three are sleeping and EJ is on her perch at the side of the nest nearest the camera.

Odin brought in another fish at about 7.30, margobird.

Thanks Lindbyird. Smiling at them now talk three stuffed little ospreys although one still has something to say. EJ perched right on the edge ofe nest. Not lot of room in there now.

It is getting tricky Linda! I've always found #2 to be the easiest to identify, as it has slightly less dark colouration to its feathers, including a lighter nape and, as Barbara Jean pointed out from early on, has more white above the highwayman mask.
I always try to ID #2 first (to eliminate it from inquiries) and then try to sort the other two out!

After you identify #2 and if they are facing you, look for the one with the tweed ( sort of speckled) markings on the top/ front of it's head. That is #1 .Titch has actual wide dark stripes with narrow white stripes on top of it's head. If they all have their back to you the longest tail is #1 right now, but all the tail feathers are growing longer so that won't work for long. They raise their rumps when they grab for the food and it raises their tails enought to see them LOL
Happy to read EJ went fishing again. By now poor Odin must be getting tired from his months of marathon fishing. I see he has cut the number of fish down to about 6 a days. They are nearly fully grown and don't need as much food . Plus if they grow much more they will take up the entire nest and there will be no landing patch for him LOL

EJ our little air traffic controller is calling Odin in again !!
And here he is with a whopper . It is as long as EJ's body including her tail
# 3 is the only one eating . #1 is resting at the back of the nest and # 2 is watching EJ serve the fish
EJ shouting , expecting Odin to come in , and in he comes with Fish # 5. Off he goes straight away. EJ hesitates at first and then gets down to the task.
One showing interest, the other two not really bothered. Hang on though, two are now showing interest.
