Hi to all our viewers from overseas and those late ones here.
It has been a fairly quiet day, intruder alerts in the morning/afternoon, a bit of a barney between two youngsters but sorted out. EJ took no notice. Only 4 fish from Odin but EJ brought in a whopper late evening and they were at it for at least half an hour I think.
At present all three are sleeping and EJ is on her perch at the side of the nest nearest the camera.
Happy viewing, see you in the morning.

They are so much less distinctive than last year, Cirrus. Thanks for pics to try and sort them out (sort me out, I mean, probably ;-) )
Just read back over last night's posts to see reports of EJ returning triumphant with whopper fish, she must have decided that they had not had enough yesterday with that huge gap between 11. am and the evening... also, descriptions of fights going on amongst the monster chicks, suppose that's inevitable as there is so much less room on that big nest now.
Pic of one of them wing stretching this morning:
- I really must go now.
yes Lindy. not much room for them now, they do get in each other's way . But soon they'll be fledging
Thanks for the 'identity pics' Cirrus. Seems to me middle chick has the most white on the face and youngest has the most striped head bu I'm sure I'll not be able to tell them apart!
Morning all, just logged on. Thanks to all for posts and pictures, fantastic. Thanks Cirrus for identifying the three young ones, I've saved all three and will study them to try and see who is who, no doubt they will change though.
At present, EJ has gone for a flyabout, one is preening and the other two are sleeping. All peaceful. Lets hope the intruder stays away today..
All sleeping. How many fish this morning is it??

Thanks Cirrus for the pictures !. The heads and tail length is what I have been looking at too.
They all have auburn markings on the back of their heads .
#1 has the least white on the top of it's head( it almost looks like tweed fabric) and the longest tail when we can see all of the tails to compare. Sometimes I can't see all of the tails to compare length.
Titch has wider black and smaller white stripe markings on the top it's head and the shortest tail
#2 has a wide white patch on both sides of it's head and you can see the white when looking at it from the back. It had a medium length tail.
I agree this year is very difficult to tell who is who now that they are nearly the same size.

Goodie second fish on the way
Heard the shouting from another room and lo and behold Odin flew in with a reasonable sized fish. EJ couldn't wait to get it off him. Stayed a moment and then was off.
All three are lined up and EJ begins the ritual.
Mamma has now started to do the 'normal' thing and favour eldest first - Youngest is in the middle but just look at that tail !! Especially when she/he is not 'sitting' on it. It's full length now !
