Hi everyone,
Its been an uneventful day except that EJ went fishing for the first time since the chicks came along and brought back a whopper of a fish. I believe there was a total of 8 brought to the nest but will be corrected if I am wrong.
Two of our young ospreys were preening but now only one who has got up and is still at it. The other two are asleep.
Nearly the end of June already and look how they've grown!!
Enjoy the night viewing wherever you are. Night, night.

I just came on in time again to see Odin deliver .... followed by an intruder ... feeding has to wait!

I heard them shouting - EJ had returned but was fishless, I think - the chicks even pecked at her, they were so hungry! Then she food called, and Odin appeared with a fish, but they were both disturbed by the intruder again. EJ mantling and shouting, to try to get rid of him/her..... chicks heads down in the nest....
EJ hugely upset ... I wonder if there are two intruders, as Odin seemed to set off after one.
There was a lot going on out of our vision, I think, DjoanS.
Teatime fish count:
1st one at 4.29am, then 9.11am, 11.00am, and 18.26pm - 4 today so far....
Feeding begins and the hungry horde line up ... well, two of them do! Oooops ... feeding halts as intruder returns ... very persistent.
Certainly plenty of action at the moment Lindybird!
I've been in and out of here all day - and now I'm trying to cook dinner ( we do have to eat, too : - ) )
just seen to dinner so back on and find there has been some action, especially with intruders.
EJ is now feeding two of the younguns. The other one not showing much interest but just did a wiggle, wiggle, and then toilet. Now has gone up for food. All tucking in.
Lindybird & Lynette .... fish for dinner? :-))
