Hi everyone,
Its been an uneventful day except that EJ went fishing for the first time since the chicks came along and brought back a whopper of a fish. I believe there was a total of 8 brought to the nest but will be corrected if I am wrong.
Two of our young ospreys were preening but now only one who has got up and is still at it. The other two are asleep.
Nearly the end of June already and look how they've grown!!
Enjoy the night viewing wherever you are. Night, night.

EJ still away. One of the young ones just had a chunner. All laying low on the nest. Beautiful evening.
Soosin - don't think any of the fish have been whoppers today.
Just started raining here, in the N. West of England. Has been very warm but it looked hotter on the tennis court at Wimbledon.

Still glorious evening her in Northants, maybe we will get some rain later, we certainly need it as the lawns are brown. Sorry, thats away from the subject in hand.
All three are quiet now and lying low in the nest.
Lovely sunny evening and the chicks look contented.
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Still alone on nest. Its been a generally quiet day on the nest apart from a couple of persistent intruders.

One more part of their learning, I suppose and the really must be hungry, don't think the fish have been that big, or have they?

This may be the stage where they don't need as much food. They look almost full grown. Several times when fish were delivered #1 was not hungry.
Plus someone said when the temperature is very warm the fish go very deep in the water. They are closer to the surface in early morning and late in the day. Odin seems like he is experienced at fishing and probably realizes it is a waste of energy to try to fish in the heat of the day. He will probably bring a fish later today

Yes we were all saying the same earlier today.
Ej with a fish - all three up very quickly- think it was half eaten already. All three being very vocal
