Hi everybody, what a day its been.
LG has been fairly quiet all day with comings and goings of fish deliveries, I think it was 5 in all. Those chicks are enormous now, coming up to their peak growing spurt.
At LOTL things have taken, at present, a turn for the better. I will try and post the last blog that Peter wrote::
21 June 2010 2:36 UpdateWhat a day it has been for all involved. Isn’t this bird amazing, she has now fed herself and the chicks 4 times now this evening. This is good news and yes there is a but, but she still is not 100%. Let's hope our male can get some fish into the nest early tomorrow morning so she can feed again soon. Fiona and I will be here through the night to keep an eye on her. We will keep the blog updated as usual, which reminds me to thank the guys at Red Paint for getting the blog up and running again. They do a great job for us.Peter
Thats for those of you who don't always get time to look at LOTL's blog. Hope it helps.
At present, EJ is getting some shuteye and the chicks are dozing with the occasional bit of restlessness. I think it must be midges that keep going in front of the camera.
Night, night, all back in the morning.

One of the chicks just exercised its wings, they were quite large. It had a really good wing flap
Morning all. Did get back to sleep (but not immediately Lindybird) and Lynette, my early morning LG visit was more desperation than dedication! After all, where else can I go at that time and be sure of company - OH certainly wouldn't be thrilled. : -)
Thanks all for pix and posts. Looks like the chicks have got to the stage where they start scaring us all with their wingercises. Such huge wings - I'm always amazed to see them fully exended... OK, off to LOTL then the shower. Take care all.
EJ has flown off for a break - here are the 'alone' chickies.....
EDIT: Don't panic like I did - the 3rd one is there, just under the other two!!

fantastic capture Lindybird, saw that , they're enormous!!!!
Odin moved a large stick to the side where the chicks are now, good job because they are close to it again.
This is an exciting stage, Lynette, when they start to look more like the adult birds and amaze us with those wings! Think you were watching last year, were you ?
EJ now at the right hand side of the nest trying to keep those renegades from falling out.

EJ just taken off for a flyabout.
I remember it was at exactly this stage last year when I lost track of knowing which chick was which, as they get their adult feathers. Perhaps we will have to study them more!! (my OH says I watch them enough as it is ....ha ha!)
Missed the fish delivery and feed as I was in the garden. 4 fish today so far I believe.
