All quiet, chicks are chunnering, EJ is fidgity because the chicks keep wriggling.
Been a bit of an eventful day
Weather looks dry at present so lets hope today brings some sunshine for a change.
Happy watching to you all from overseas. See you in the morning.

Well done Sandra, I thought they were all posing for the camera, it must have been yours.
I too thought EJ was doing a "tree" DjoanS, except she wasn't always very still.
Terry in Cumbria
3 large chicks asleep, EJ enjoying the peace and quiet but always on the alert and looking for Odin to bring in a fish.
margobird said: Afternoon Lynette pleased to read that weather looks a bit more promising. EJ, Odin and chicks have certainly had some wet weather of late. I find it a bit upsetting when EJ sits in rain for most of the day and worry about the chicks getting cold now they no longer fit under her very well. Chicks have been quite active today, lots of preening and some wing stretching from No. 1 chick. I smile when I see them doing this as the balance is not quite there yet and they always tip forward on to their face.

Hi Margobird, they are certainly looked after better than at Manton Bay. Watching from time to time I notice those little chicks are not always being brooded, its a first time mum and maybe she hasn't quite got the hang of brooding them and keeping them warm and dry when the weather is a little cool etc.
EJ is doing a fantastic job though, isn't she. At present enjoying some peace and quiet whilst the youngsters sleep.
Mind you, having said that about Manton Bay, she is now appearing to be brooding them. Slight diversion to LG.
Chicks stirring and looking around, stretching, having a look at what's out in the big wide world.
Cirrus they have had few scraps over the feeding but if EJ is away from the nest they will start aggitating each other but it never lasts for long. Much more gentle nest behaviour this year don't you think.
I do Margobird, yes, cos so far and long may it continue, there has always been sufficient fish for all.
Great pic of Sandra's and just look at their breasts ! all mini EJ's - all girls. If any is sexed as a boy I'll be gobsmaked.
Thanks to all for great posts and pics.
They grow as we watch them. Thanks for the pic of last years 'girls' , it does remind you that they have to grow a lot in order to be able to fly away : - (
EJ flew off but returned again almost immediately. I get the feeling that she does not like to leave them for too long in view of all the intrusions of the intruder lately.
----we did not have so much trouble with intruders last year.
Sometime earlier this season , someone started a thread about precicting the sex of the chicks. Any one know how I can find that thread?
I have enjoyed watching Titch, sitting on the edge of the nest, looking at what is beyond his home.
Here comes a fish
