Weekly Chat, Sunday June 13, 2010

Morning everyone and welcome to a new week!  Last week's Weekly Chat ended with some interesting entries and very interesting links (wonderful pix of swan giving cygnets a ride, courtesy of Lindybird, and, thanks very much Alan; another perspective on those oil-covered pelicans - good news too!).  OG: Not rushing and dashing; kids are here and headed to bed early for ultra-early departure. Margobird: Thanks for update on Hope and Lily.

Gather USA/England draw was result of bungle by England goalkeeper?

  • Hello, Auntie. Glad you will have a well-earned break. I bet you won't be able to sleep as much as you plan. LOL

  • Forgot to say that of course I've been watching these

June7th, Odin sliding in slippery nest

and these at Hailuoto nest in Finland with three chicks

and this Finnish nest near me (about 17km) that also has three chicks and where the male sometimes feeds the chiks

LOL hopefully I won't :) Got to go now...again... take care. And glad you have found outfits to those coming special events

  • Just read page four. Great story Diane - really enjoyed it . Long live Stinky!  Have a good holiday Auntie - I don't always read everything on chat cos it get so long   LoL but like to read how everyone is doing. Weddings coming up very soon AQ - glad you've found something suitable to wear   : Annette you mentioned Contractors on Daily Update - whatever that's all about may it go well.

  • Morning all, and Happy Monday!

Sending Hugs and Kisses to auntie - thanks for those, auntie, we were just a bit concerned about you, but know that you have a busy time at work etc.  Thanks for the great pics above, especially those of the Scandinavian Osps. - nice to know that there is another osprey Dad out there who helps with the feeding.

    Here is todays 'smile'

"Johnny Depp is to play Tonto, the Lone Ranger's faithful native American sidekick, in a new movie.  The masked western hero once found Tonto on all fours, ear pressed to the prairie.  'Ten bad men passed here not one hour ago in big wagon'  reported Tonto.   Lone Ranger:  'How can you tell?'    Tonto:  'They ran over me.'"

  • LoL Lindybird  (I did !).

Just read page 2. Know what you mean about Sringwatch - simply TOO many presenters and NOT ENOUGH wildlife - I still watch it though, sigh. And as someone else said days ago - I too miss Bill ......

If I were head of BBC I'd have just Simon and Kate  with occaisonal Buchannon (can't spell it) guy and occaisonal Bill. Bill is knowledgeable and would do well with a slot of his own from time to time. Martin what's is name irritates me with his flippin hair getting in the way all the time .

  • Good Morning ALL, The sun is shining here, but the wind is quite cold.

Hello to Valc. Lovely to see you have joined us on here at last.

AQ, Thanks for the Stinky tales and the links, but I am sure I don't want to see one in our garden.

Auntie, good to hear all is fine with you. My daughter is a Doctor ( Hospital Registrar) and I worry about the hours she works and how tired she becomes, so do catch up on your sleep and relaxation.

My washing is blowing outside and I must carry on with the HW. Hope you all enjoy today and the heavy rain and thunderstorms have now eased.

Good morning just on my daily catch up with all the postings, was busy last evening.

Cirrus  Martin annoys me with all the hair tossing as well why doesn't he just get it cut.  I miss Bill as I am sure I learnt more from him and I think it is down to him that so many younger people became interested.

  • Morning Lindybird iteresting to read about Johny Depp as I forgot to mention when we were in Venice one of the days we were there they were fiming in St Marks Square.  We couldn't quite understand whey the Square had been roped and didn't find out till we came home.  Can't remember the name fo the film but OH looked it up so we will have to see it as we might even be in it!

Happy Monday to you as well.  We have had some much needed rain overnight and today is showery, some of them very heavy but can't really complain as it has been dry apart from a Saturday morning a week ago and that was only drizzle.

  • Good morning auntie pleased to see you again.  Thanks for the pics and I do hope you are going to be able to relax and recharge your batteries.
