Hi everybody.
We've had an eventful day with Odin bringing in 5 fish and intruders trying to land on the nest but being chased off by EJ.
All is quiet on the nest except for fidgiting from the chicks who are keeping EJ awake. She has her back to us at present and is looking toward the right of the picture. One little one has just been obliging over the far end of the nest.
Happy watching, see you in the morning. night, night.

Thanks Lindybird posted on weekly chat with my update on hospital visit. Stiched up and a bit sore from both the one that had to be cut out and the other suspects were treated with a spray. Felt as though I was being burned when they used the spray.
Great to come in and read about the fish deliveries so far, now wonder those chicks are so bit now. Hope to see a delivery myself soon as I have to take things easy today so perfect excuse to watch all the time.

Morning/afternoon all:)OK, who, in the night, replaced the chicks with 3 mini ospreys?????
EJ is standing at the edge of the nest calling spasmodically and the three giants are snoozing.
Unknown said: Glad all went well Cirrus and Margobird. I have been thinking about the ringing and tagging as the time is fast approaching and there does not seem to have been anything mentioned about it in the blogs so far. The same applies at LOTL where they are awaiting permission and at the Lake District where I believe they are intending to tag the chicks also.

Thanks Alan I had been thinking about the same. Hope they will get ringed and tagged as it does make it interesting during the winter months to read how this years ospreys are doing.
great capture Sandy of the chicks wing spreading. Thanks for all the pics so far.

Gary I laughed at this but you are so right.
Margobird, I agree it makes for a great deal of amusement at their antics. EJ just chirped at the chicks to tell them she was off for a break.
3 HUGE CHICKS playing dead whilst mum's away.
Lynette, that was a sudden alarm call. The chicks hit the deck simultaneously:
Very unusual for EJ to alarm and then fly off like that. Still scanning the skies.
Normal 0 false false false
Glad to read all is well, Margobird. Lovely pic of the wing stretch Sandy.
Well, that's rum. Wonder what's going on
