Hi everybody.
We've had an eventful day with Odin bringing in 5 fish and intruders trying to land on the nest but being chased off by EJ.
All is quiet on the nest except for fidgiting from the chicks who are keeping EJ awake. She has her back to us at present and is looking toward the right of the picture. One little one has just been obliging over the far end of the nest.
Happy watching, see you in the morning. night, night.

I missed another feed.. never mind. All fed again. Good old Odin.
Great that you have had good news, Cirrus. Nice to see you back so soon.
Thank you Patriciat and Lindybird. Let's hope Heather's SiL gets good news too.
Two en o r m o u s chicks, plus Titch behind, already asleep:
Brilliant news Cirrus. That must be a great relief to you.
I remember two years ago when ringing the birds, that they could tell that the chicks had been underfed by the barring on the feather quills. No chance of that happening this year. These three have been so well nourished, up to now.
Thank you Brenda and yes - very well nourished chicks. I remember about the barring on the feathers too. I have observed that second hatched has fewer dark 'smudges' on the back of her head (maybe that's prophetic :) ). Eldest has two, making the back of her head darker looking. Second hatched has One , giving her more white showing eiter side.

Barbara Jean said that yesterday, that she thought # 2 had more white on the side of its head, and #1 has darker patches on her back, too.

Good morning all only just logged in and delighted to read 4 fish so far. Odin is such a busy boy. He knows he needs to catch more and more now those little bundles have turned into big bundles now. They are growing so fast and in such a short time.
Thanks to all for all the wonderful pics they are amazing.
Cirrus so pleased you have had some better news about your eye and now only need to visit the optician instead of the hospital.
Margobird
Welcome back, Margobird. Hope it all went OK (sorry, everyone, off topic, but hey.......)
