Hi everyone.
Wasn't watching at the time but heard a commotion. Still raining, chicks and eJ were excited over something but have settled down again. Chicks can be heard chirping away whilst EJ tries to keep them dry and warm , getting soaked herself.
I'll say night, night, happy viewing.

I thought it would be interesting to look at the chicks relative ages. Although they will always be the the same number of days apart in age, their relative ages converge over time. Here is where they are today. It will also be interesting to record the age at fledging, to see the comparison. We would assume that chick 1 will fledge first, but I am sure that there have been cases where a younger chick fledged before an older sibling.

Thanks for that Alan. Going for a shower asI havr been out in the garden and am filthy. All is quiet and serene!!!!!!!! at present and Mr Chaffinch is seranading.
Good afternoon all and what a lot orf action while I was away for the donkey carer day ( have posted a bit on weekly chat about it). Plenty of fish despite the weather and also a very persistent intruder as well. Saw the last fish come in and noted Titch got a fair share as they all did before they were tucked away again as best they could be by EJ. Sounds and looks cold but at least dry. Saw the discussion about 3 osprey chicks but I honestly believe these 3 are so well fed and looked after they will all fledge laster this year. I have only been away for a day and a half but they have grown again in that short time.
Thanks to all for the pics and videos as it does keep me up to date with what has been going on. It has taken a couple of hours to catch up with the weekly and daily chat but I am there now and waiting for Odin to deliver again soon, bless him. Love the squeaks and little noises from the chicks when they are mostly under EJ, think they probably want to come out and play but EJ is letting them know it is a bit chilly for them.
Have a good afternoon all and hope the weather not too bad for you. Some sun this morning but watching as I have washing out and they do say we will get some sharp showers this afternoon.

I was watching the fish delivery/ feeding whilst on the phone. Thanks for the pictures.
Sounds like that pesky intruder is around again .... EJ shouting and mantling while still sitting on the chicks!

The intruder is around again. EJ really shouting.
EJ just saw something, and had a bit of a shout, but it was hard to tell if it was to warn someone off, or whether she had spied Odin again......
She remained on the nest and has now calmed down again.
This pic takes some working out, as EJ screams above, her head is thrown way back
Those chicks are getting huge!
