Hi everyone.
EJ has just fed the chicks again and is now settling them down for the night.
What a day it has been, high drama this afternoon with the intruder about, but Odin and EJ defended superbly.
Chicks have been well fed despite the windy conditions for fishing. I think there was a total of 5 fish? Perhaps someone can correct that if I'm wrong.
Happy watching to those who carry on through our night. Goodnight, sleeptight EJ and family.

She can't possibly be calling for another fish although I am sure I can hear Odin calling back. Probably telling her she has had enough for now.

EJ is such a 'character'. She knows she needs a fish for later and during the night.
She is certainly one woman, who got all females labled for nagging.

Evening Brenda I totally agree with you. I am sure I can hear Odin answering back. It is a brave man who would dare to do that.
Well that's it for me today, have had a wonderful afternoon's viewing and as I go EJ is still calling so I guess there might be another fish. Have recorded Springwatch and just off to watch it now so goodnight all and hello to the night shift when they arrive. Always grateful for the posts while we are sleeping here.
Late evening sun bathing the nest, EJ looks regal and is calling, wanting Odin to bring in supper.
Wind seems to have died down, thank goodness.
Odin has just flown in, fishless, but EJ told him to go fishin, he's taken off again so hopefully he'll come back next time with a fish.
EJ looks positively majestic in the late evening sun.
EJ calling Odin, and Odin answering back (can clearly hear him).
It could be that Odin has a fish and won't bring it in until he's had his fill, or maybe EJ is telling him to fetch a fish and he's replying "you should have saved me some of the last one - you'll have to wait till morning".
EDIT: Must be the latter as Odin flies in for a visit and a brief osprey domestic ensues. Odin's off.

Margobird, have just watched Springwatch, you should enjoy it. I'm catching up now with LG happenings. Enjoy your rest.
I enjoyed Springwatch too, a great bit of animal and bird life. Just come on to see how many fish today....
EJ is sitting quietly in the fading light. Even then she is beautiful.
I just read back over some of the posts for today, and noticed to my surprise that on Page 8, my post timed at 3.32pm, the picture actually has on the right hand side a glimpse of Odin's feathers as he flies off !! The camera must have just caught it, without my noticing it at the time.
I'm off to bed now, see you all tomorrow.
