Hi everyone.
EJ has just fed the chicks again and is now settling them down for the night.
What a day it has been, high drama this afternoon with the intruder about, but Odin and EJ defended superbly.
Chicks have been well fed despite the windy conditions for fishing. I think there was a total of 5 fish? Perhaps someone can correct that if I'm wrong.
Happy watching to those who carry on through our night. Goodnight, sleeptight EJ and family.

My goodness. The chicks can definitely eat a lot.
a lot of the time, there were only 2 chicks interested, the other, (no 1 ??) faced the wrong way, and showed no interest:
you can just see it, in the middle of the other two, here. Then they all lost interest, and began to huddle together again in the nest cup (cold wind?) so EJ ate some more, herself:
...now she is brooding them again.
Just checked on the LG weather as the wind sounds so gusty. The Met. Office says gusts of 33mph. Sounds much stronger through the mike.
Morning all, thanks again for all your updates and pics, great as usual.
EJ now calling and we got a glimpse of the chicks but they have gone under mum again. This wind is up again and must cause it to be chilly up there.
EJ is up on the side of the nest having a preen, the little ones watching her -could it almost be feed time again they wonder.
Chicks are calling now - come on were're ready for some more! EJ is eating from the leftovers. Chicks can see this and are asking for some.
Littlest seems uninterested, so stays at the back:
Not too much interest in food. No 2 taking some.
She is now feeding the chicks, no1 getting in on the act first. All the chicks up and looking to get a bit mre food
EJ is off for a break, chicks huddle together for warmth, and EJ is back again and ready to settle them down and keep them warm.
Snap Linda. Imagine feeding your own baby this often.
Here is EJ getting back onto the brood, after her quick comfort break:
