Ej is resting and trying to keep the chicks warm but they are getting quite big now and it makes it harder for her to keep them under her breast at night..
At least now she seems to be catching a quick nap.

afternoon all.
Thanks as always for all the clips and pictures:)
Odin came back to the nest a few minutes ago, with half a fish and EJ didn't budge. Must have had enough:)
EJ flew off for a comfort break, but soon came back. Here are the chicks, looking for Mum:
NEW BLOG FROM Izzy at LG: 'Records and Rivalries' - they confirm that there were 8 fish yesterday!
EJ off for a longer comfort break, but the chicks do not move, as probably too full of fish. Here she is just arriving back again:
--she reacts just like a human mother, 1st checking that all is well in the nest, then quickly looking around for any signs of trouble elsewhere.
Hi everyone, had to go out this morning so am just catching up.
EJ has gone off for a break, Odin came flying in with a huge stick and dragged it over the chicks to place it to the right of the nest. EJ has just flown back in with a smaller stick. I think they are building the nest up against that wind again.
EJ's settled them down again . Oh that wind is really up.
Can hear the wind mentioned, here is EJ all blown about:
She keeps standing on one leg, and seems reluctant to return to sitting on the nest, even tho the chicks are being blown around a bit (although of course they are protected somewhat by the nest cup):
here she is on one leg:
Now, she's finally decided to sit on them again, but is not concentrating much, as there are bits of chicks sticking out all over the place!
EDIT now she is looking all around, as if expecting Odin back.
There are still chicks protruding from under Mum, but she seems unconcerned, and I can't hear the chicks as much because of the wind, so don't know if they are objecting.
