Daily Update (LG Diary) Saturday May 29th

Night vision is a lot clearer but only just visible. You can make out EJ on the nest.

Happy viewing to you all from lands afar - keep us posted for later.

Having said that, EJ seems to be catching up on her sleep. Chicks have stopped chunnering so maybe she can get a bit of kip.

  • Plink, Plink, down comes the rain again.

  • I am happy to see  Odin is also getting enough to eat. He has to keep up his strength because EJ and the chicks depend on him. I am sure he is burning up extra calories fishing in bad weather

  • That's true, Barbara Jean - as they arn't always successful at having a fish at every attempt, he must get tired when there are 5 mouths to feed.  He's done well today though, as the water must have been harder to see through in the rain.

ps  Its stopped raining now folks, and all is quiet at LG.

  • Wonderful pics folks you are all so clever ,makes me feel very envious because I dont know how to do the technical thing.Ive really enjoyed looking at them  all such detail and lovely close ups of the wee ones.Sounds as if LG has had a similar day to us here in South Manchester, soaked to the skin when I went out

still wont have to water the garden, every cloud.............

Have to go and make tea now but hope to log on later inthe meantime thankyou you very talented people.

Richard as I said before stop feeing the Gismos after mid night,it always leads to Gremlins

  • Thanks Barbara Jean and DjoanS.    That little one will be the one to watch:  "Biggles the Adventurer!"

Glad to see that they have all had plenty to eat today.  See you all tomorrow.

  • I heard some chirping on the nest and came through to see Odin on the nest standing on a fish ... don't know if its a fresh one or the remains of the one EJ was feeding the chicks just now ... he just flew off with it!

  • Always great to see the chicks all get fed.  A few moments ago a bug did a close inspection of the camera lense.  EJ looked at it as if to say: "And what's your game pal?"

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

  • It's very early days but as the chicks grow and develop their personalities it seems like we have:

No.1 - As firstborn is in charge and likes to deal out beatings to the other two to remind them of it.

No.2 - Very reserved. Won't stand up to No.1, but tries half-heartedly  to boss No.3.

No.3 - Feisty as anything. Will initially submit to its larger siblings but scraps to be fed and will eventually give as good as it gets.

    Mmmm, sounding familiar?
