Hi folks: I'll be taking OH out to dinner for his birthday tonight, so will be MIA for a bit. Take care. All quiet on the nest now.
Lindybird: I now have the stills camera open in a separate tab and check it on a regular basis as I'm surprised at the number of great scenes it captures. Of course, only updating every 2 minutes, means that it can miss whole events or just get EJ having a good preen. I like the randomness of it.
Here comes a fish:
followed by a feed:
Odin just delivered a large fish. He has eaten the head abd more and what was left is large. This is his 3rd fish today Well done Odin
He is doing nest work as EJ eats and feeds the chicks.
He is standing in front of the camera so I can't see the chicks, just EJ bending down to feed them
Odin moved the unruly branch that EJ was wrestling with
The fish is large and looks a bit tough so EJ is selective of the bits she gives the chicks.
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
\EJ takes fish this time
She starts to feed the chicks, but Odin is busily beak cleaning near the camera, so gets in our way...
Sorry if too many pics, but couldn't resist this one:
Think that's the same as mine, Sandy, but never mind;
oh! its not.... I love the randomness of it, too Sandy. A bit of a lottery, you can never be quite sure what you'll get....
Ha! I had a headless one, but left it out!
If anyone missed my previous post just at the beginning of all this excitement, there has been a new Report posted on the L. G. Blog page, called: "EGG BREAKING NEWS"
Lindybird: I'm amazed at how many great shots it gets, and the quality is much better than captures off the live cam.
That fish was a big one, Odin had clearly had a good feed off it - not just the head. Plenty for all to share.
